Takahashi, who has established the original genre of scenic portraits, calls this collection of snapshots his "lifelong passion." This photo book is filled with snapshots capturing the unique atmosphere of seven countries—India, America, Iceland, Thailand, Russia, Indonesia, and Portugal.
The title "IN THE ZONE" is inspired by Takahashi's own words: "As I walk through a country, there are times when I enter 'the zone' and feel compelled to capture the essence of the entire city."
Enjoy numerous works created through Takahashi’s "ad-lib photography," where he instantaneously captures scenes without waiting, focusing on the city as the main character, along with its people, activities, and interplay of light and shadow.
Included throughout are Takahashi's "words," which reflect his thoughts and feelings experienced during his travels in each country.

Profile
Born in 1972 in Hyogo Prefecture, Shinya Takahashi discovered film photography at the age of 18 and worked in a studio for five years.
After stepping away from photography for a time, he began sharing snapshots from his travels to Turkey on his blog around 2004, which marked the beginning of his involvement in the photography community.
He started using Instagram in 2012 and X in 2017, and today, he has become a popular photographer with approximately 440K followers across social media.
He travels both within Japan and abroad, capturing snapshots as a lifelong passion.
Actively involved in the photography community, he has also published numerous books.
