Two Lightroom presets, "Awanagi01" and "Awanagi02," are available.
The "Awanagi" series of Lightroom presets by photographer and writer Nozomi Kosei, who gracefully expresses the unpretentious aspects of everyday life, is now available in two versions: "Awanagi01," which evokes the "stillness of a window in the morning" and adds a subtle bluish tint to create a nostalgic feel to everyday life, and "Awanagi02," which captures the "lingering feeling at the end of the day" and adds depth to shadows, blending naturally into twilight, cloudy skies, and indoor settings. Both presets add a gentle sentiment and a calm atmosphere to everyday life, creating a "calm" feel, and are designed to help you cherish and preserve those ordinary moments.
*Each preset contains files in two formats: "dng" and "xmp".

"The Awanagi series was created with the theme of "the preset I'd be happiest to have on hand right now." Rather than over-processing, the goal was to create presets that make you think, "This photo looks good," or "I really like this photo," and make you want to cherish those casually taken photos for years to come. If you want to emphasize blue, as in the example, try slightly shifting the color temperature towards blue after using the preset. I hope you enjoy fine-tuning it depending on the photo. Preset ① "Awanagi01"
* The example images were created by applying a preset and then making adjustments including basic corrections such as white balance and highlights.
*If the original photo has a reddish tint, adjusting the "Color Temperature" slider in the WB settings to the left (lowering the value) will give it a more bluish appearance.
"Awanagi01 is a preset created with the image of the stillness that settles on a windowsill in the morning in mind. Whites remain white, shadows are not crushed, and just a hint of blue has been added. It gives everyday photos a nostalgic feel. It can be used for a wide variety of photos, from the sky and water surfaces to light coming through glass and even a coffee cup on a table. It's a preset that doesn't make highlights look unnatural even in backlit situations, against white walls, or under cloudy skies, and the overall image comes together smoothly. I created it with the intention of making it a basic preset that you can choose first when you're unsure, no matter how the season, lifestyle, or what you want to photograph changes. For those who want to preserve their everyday lives in a slightly more dramatic way for the future."

Preset ② Awanagi02

" Awanagi02 was created as a sister preset to Awanagi01. If Awanagi01 represents 'morning stillness,' then Awanagi02 represents 'the lingering feeling at the end of the day.' While retaining the same calm (Awanagi) atmosphere, it adds just a little more depth to the shadows, balancing it to suit not only daytime but also twilight and the time when the sun is just beginning to set. It ensures that photos don't look dull or lifeless even on cloudy days, in dimly lit rooms, on the beach in the evening, or on a street with streetlights, so I hope you'll switch to Awanagi02 when Awanagi01 doesn't quite feel right."
